EEPY SID MUSIC
This is a mirror of the High Voltage SID collection, the worlds most complete collection of SID music.
SID music is a form of music originating on the Commodore 64. When we say SID, we are really referring
to the Sound Interface Device chip (MOS 6581, colloquially, "SID") of the C=64. Although
You probably don't have a C=64, you can still listen to the songs composed of the
tones generated by the SID, with SIDPLAY(Windows, Linux, and Mac).
While I was growing up, the only computing device I had available to me was a
borrowed Commodore 64. The music it generated fascinated me, and I was thrilled when I
found SIDPLAY. Some of my favorite SID composers are Rob Hubbard (not the Scientologist), Benn Daglish, and Martin Galway. I like the sound of SID so much, I got a Sidstation as soon as they were invented (serial #83) and it now plays in my band (though it is a different band from last time, with no web page up)!
