AFTERBURN
  Caffeine-Klatsch or Nitro Owls
4:13 am
--- Since that last bout of chocolate-madness, I seem to be sleeping in 26 hour cycles. That would mean that I'm supposed to go to sleep today at 2 pm, right in the middle of band practice. Not that I've never played in a near-somnabulent fashion. Once when I was still working 4 different shifts over the weekend in HOL tech support, I had to play a show at a club. I had stayed up sequencing things for that show for a couple of days, so when it came time to actually play, I woke up on the floor of the tech support office, took the elevator down to where Kris' car was waiting, and immediately start playing. I must have looked like I was trying to look at the insides of my upper eyelids. I seem to remember trying real hard to keep my eyes from rolling back in my head, because it made it too easy to nod off.

I just thought of something, though. I had better allow myself to partake in caffeine after I get a job again, because when I am employed again, I'm going to be programming stuff. Not only for work, but in my spare time (work does that to me). If I'm going to be programming, I'm going to be doing it seriously, which means no stopping for petty little pleasures like sleep. I think that much of the programming world runs solely on the dark colas half the time.

Not that I have something to say now
--- Well, it looks like I'm not going to have to raze the East coast after all. My good ol' pal Meri has a good excuse for her week-surpassing silence. Her ears have been a nightmare of weird infections and eternal antibiotic scourings. Yick. But it's going away! It's safe to bite her ears once more.

    (not that anyone does that)

5:24 am

Still awake, working on a new main page for foad.org because the one you see there is horrendously dated and was thrown together in minutes. Yawn! Actually maybe I'll catch 4 hours sleep or so before going to practice. Good night.
