Hmm. On the new Nine Inch Nails Album (2 CD set) there is a song called "The Great Below". It's about having regrets by the ocean and then drowning in it. It seems as if my emotional states have gone through the song line by line. Of course, many adolescents identify with this kind of depression-pop, it's quite ubiquitous to feel loss and pining regret. I'm not sure whether it improves my life any to have my sentiments made concrete in a mass market context and set to music. Fortunately, I think I stopped being in the song around where he falls in the water. Now I'm off doing what I do, and whether I'm miserable or happy in the future is in my own hands, where it should be.

My coworkers met in my house today. It became clear that there are definately still not enough places to sit in my room. We wound up standing out on the balcony during most of our talking.

One idea I liked is the OC-3 laser link to the Westin. Lasers on my balcony! Two! A tracking/target laser and a link laser. That's like something I would have done a science report on when I was in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade.

Okay, so I'd probably have to aggressively push the idea every time I spoke to anyone else in the company, and have many more friends within the different departments to actually get it implemented. But it is still a cool thing to think about. OC-3! Via LASERS!!#$!#%!^#

OC-3 is approximately 155 Mbps. 100 T-1s.
