Music day again! Kris was over, we finished the cowboy song. We discussed maybe wearing cowboy hats and having a backup line of gospel singers, swaying and wearing
prayer robes (also cowboy hats). Our Musicians Wanted ad in "The Stranger" would be: ISO soulful gospel contingent for cowboy hat-wearing
anthem electron rock with industrial/stupid influences. Must be able to sway in time, know how to pronounce "Hallelujah". Practice space a +.
Pretty good mocha - considering it was prepared at 1 AM by a chick with butter on her arm. - Kris
That girl with the black and magenta hair that works at the downtown Minnie's has the most facial piercings Kris or I have ever seen. I wonder, does that make your face sag? It was seriously a lot - her ears looked like spiral-bound apricots.
With that much raw flesh open to the air, you probably have at least one infection at any given time, especially if you frequent clubs (and work at a restaurant) filled with smoke, atomized grease, and late-night weirdo cooties.
I de-RAIDed my hard drives. Now I have 120 gigs in a passel of partitions, and two different versions of windows clean installed with the intention of making this D/A convertor work. At all. I took out all peripherals except video card before reinstalling,
formatted the drives I installed to, did the install, and followed the 2408 instruction exactly. Did it work? No. Switched the host card to each PCI slot in turn. Nope. Tried the updated drivers. Nope. I'm starting to think it might have actually been damaged. I'm going to call
MOTU tech support and try every single dumb thing they ask me to try ("okay, now put butter on your head and arms!"). Then see if someone at Kris' work has a working setup I can try swapping my stuff into to see if it is OK. Then it goes in Kris' computer. THEN I send it to get fixed, or
just give up on 24 bit audio for a while. That's the reason my keyboard is currently sharing the front of the desk with a huge full-tower case. I have half a mind to toss donuts in there to see if that produces a change in status. C'mon dude, donuts! Yum!
So, I'm pretty sure it's not going to work soon. I stuck the wireless net card back in, and I'm back on the net, considering statistics packages (practicing for when I have a job again and someone wants to pay me to do this). I'm on unemployment, I hope.
crud, I don't have anything installed. can't scan pictures. can't draw pictures. can't get into my host machine. bargh bargh.
