Overfull-time Job |
5:00 pm
Nope, I'm definately not depressed. I guess I'm just in a very bland sort
of way right now. Normal. Ordinary. Plain. I think the chemicals in my brain
have gone flat or something. That's okay. No one has to be a raving lunatic
24-7. (Apologies to those who DO have to be raving lunatics.) (Who probably
should be out raving somewhere and not using the web.) Wow look, parenthesis!
I think using programming languages all the time has altered the way I think.
Now I tend to make things by splitting them up into little objects that I can
change individually, without the changes affecting the other little objects much.
In a programming context, it makes debugging easy. Also, it was one of the more
recent Things. OOP, or object oriented programming, is kind of like a fad.
(except that it is useful) (I had to try VERY HARD to not type FAD in all upper case.)
(It looks like FAQ.)

Common Sense Intrudes |
Today I'm trying something different. Instead of writing everything in HTML right
at the time of upload, I'm writing this in advance, in the middle of the day.
(Wow! Sun! Yech!) So I will just write whatever the heck I am thinking when I am thinking,
hopefully avoiding any sad attempts at generating content when I'm not in
a creative mode. (Yesterday. Oh Well.) I will worry about markup and everything
later tonight after I get back from the concert.

Concert? What? |
Tonight I am going to try and see a His Name Is Alive show. I haven't got much
information on it, only the date and place, thanks to my distant friend Sam.
Sam has got lots of good music and pez dispensers. She lived sort of near me
when we were all in Hawaii. She is in Chicago now, going to College and trying
to avoid the apathy and lethargy that seemed to hang on her in Hawaii. Now
I'm trying to figure out WHEN the concert is, to the resolution of hours.
His Name Is Alive is a musical project of Warren DeFever, a resident of Livonia, Michigan.
It is very ambient, frothy trip music. (Trying to see it from the viewpoint of
other people) (I have never been on a 'trip') (I am hopelessly protective of my
neurological state) (whatever that is) (oo! More parentheses!)
Rrrgh! The show is at Laluna, wherever that is. I am totally lost in Portland.
It took me almost 2 decades to understand the relationship between the two sides
of the island when I was living on Oahu (a Hawaiian Island!). Gimme a break.
Ed knows where it is, as he has gone to a couple of Raves there. This probably
happened while he was attending College in Eugene (Oregon). (more parens for good measure)
12:59 am
Okay I'm back. Wow. A big H-robot. CD's and things. Amazing.
More tomorrow I guess, if I have time.
