A counting one. Counters are great. Especially Count.cgi. It's got a big fat security hole in it.
I wonder if most "webmasters" even consider system security a part of their job. In a way, it should be the main part of their job.
UNIX system security (considered an oxymoron by some) is an especially tense job, requiring a versatile brain and constant vigilance.
Kind of a tall order for today's webmasters, in any case. Furg. One day I want to be a security guru. I'll understand the whole goddamn huge yellow book someday.
Yeah, and someday I'll also be a firetruck or an apple tree. Yesterday I watched "Cannibal: The Musical", and now I've got the songs
stuck in my head. Real, real bad:
The sky is blue, and the grass is always green,
The air is clear as a baked po-ta-to;
I think you know exactly what I mean
When I say it's a shpedoinkel day!

Before I saw Cannibal, two of the nicest people I've met in Seattle came over to pay me a visit and drop off
some much needed food. It's very hard to be antisocial and nonplussed when people keep doing nice things for you.
I think I was plussed. I feel like I might start singing about how shpedoinkel my day has been at any second.
That doesn't mean I'm in an enviable position that you would want to assassinate me for, take notice. For starters, my
teeth are doing some very funky tricks with their little nerves. I'm going to fix that as soon as I have a dental plan.
I always wondered what a root canal was like, and I'm estimating that I'll get to experience at least a couple, consecutively.
I just re-read something that I read yesterday, and now it actually means something. Yesterday I looked at it, thought "ok." and
continued. This time I actually took it in, a single gulp. Weird. One difference is that today I've eaten enough and yesterday
I hadn't. It's too big a difference to be just that, I , uh, hope.
In other spring cleaningly interesting news, Mr. Yuck finished a song today. I have what amounts
to a alpha-test version of it, recorded with me screaming at everyone not to worry about technical correctness
because we're just trying to get all the parts down so we can rearrange them. What is it with us and world beats?
This one grew out of a MIDI song that would have been called "10" but now it's called "cracked paint" (ISDN required for realtime stream).
(no it's not about pirating photoshop)
