Today IIiiiii haven't done anything yet. It's only 7 AM. I've pretty much just woken up and made the waffle batter. (note: not a euphemism. actual batter for cooking waffles was mixed.) Things of note from recent history are: I had another job interview. I don't think it went badly, but I can never tell. I always feel like a babbling retard immediately afterward. (I'm a nervous wreck for several hours before.) After the anxiety passes, I collapse. I just don't interview enough to get used to it. I mean, the last time I went to job interviews was over three years ago. I get nervous at shows if I haven't played out in a couple of months. The only way to stay on top of the interview process would be to do them monthly, during my entire employment. Oh boy does that ever sound like the biggest waste of time. Alternative: get a prescription for BETA BLOCKERS. Or steal some from your friends.

I spent most of my night when I was supposed to be worrying about the job interview reading about gas turbine engines. I don't anticipate dealing with any of those in the near future, but it's interesting to note that someone builds a turbine-powered motorcycle that goes from 0-220 mph in around 15 seconds. (for the record, top fuel drag racing motorcycles can hit that in under half the time. But it's not a good idea to try and drive those somewhere with traffic lights or, like, turns.) (and they have 15 gpm fuel efficiency, about the same as a 170 ton steam engine.)

Turbine engines are also found in M-1 tanks. Coolest vehicle ever! They don't get such great mileage either, so they carry gigantic 500 gallon fuel tanks. Turbine engines are small and light compared to reciprocating engines of similiar power. They're also pretty simple. But the number one reason to choose turbine power is: sounds cool!

Also for the record: all the plates in the house are enjoying a bath in the dishwasher, so I am eating waffles off a plastic cutting sheet.
