20:32Forever a dull moment:
New things gotten recently:
- Answering machine
- Good boots
- Toilet Plunger
- 2 Gravis Ultrasound GF1 cards
- wake-up-at-6:30 am schedule
- 3 hours sleep every day
- Dental coverage and appointment
- new gig bag with a Parker Fly guitar in it.
The answering machine was purchased after acknowledging that my old answering machine had degraded into uselessness and that people tend to call me a lot. The message I left on it was so plasticine and rehearsed that I got two messages from people who had misdialed businesses but apparently didn't notice the difference.
void PooPal(void); void SetThingsOnFire(int x,int y);The boots became necessary when it started raining again. I like it when it rains as much as the next guy. Maybe more. I like having wet socks all day to a degree similiar to my affection for interior nostril zits. I went to Northgate (first mall ever, says Brett) and got me some solid looking boots that say "Clarks". Well, they might say that, but they're MINE.

realaudioThe toilet plunger is for clearing up the toilet in the bathroom connected to this room. Toilet plungers seem like something you wouldn't want to touch the active end of, even when newly purchased and unused.
Blit(vscr2+si,sprite+i,b_size); /* the perch goes here, the clam goes there */2 Gravis Ultrasound GF1 cards. Vince at work just GAVE them to me (not for keeps, tho). Gravis cards are close to the heart of many demoscene trackers. They can keep playing MODs even after your computer crashes! Eerie! Delightful! I had an ultrasound already, a gift from Ed, but it was the Interwave chip kind that they made after they ran out of GF1s.

realaudioEarly-ass schedule came down as a decree from da boss at work. I had been coming in whenever, then at 10 every day, and now I have to be there at 8:00, so I can be synchronized with everyone else in the company. This disorganized startup is turning into a stiff-kneed corporation even as I write the payroll system. It'd be okay if I went to sleep at 10 pm, but I'm still staying up until 3 am working on stuff like Blop Lamp (blop lamp is the beginnings of my entry to mincus' programming contest).

realaudioI sought dental coverage and appointment after an episode during which I experienced the most serious tooth pain yet. I had, before this happened, categorized the pain into "aching" and "pinching" with the occasional "searing agony". A new genre of discomfort was introduced to me that I'd probably label "Thermite grenade". I called a dentist and made an appointment. Thursday, 2 o clock, don't forget.

realaudioThe other day I was taking money out of the ATM downtown on my lunch break, expecting the tiny boost in security that I get from seeing my balance printed on the transaction's conclusive receipt. I barely glanced at it as I stuffed it in my pocket with 2 weeks worth of similiar figure filled flyers. Something nagged at me through lunch, though, and when I reveiewed the transaction summary later, I noticed the 1000s were a couple less than they should have been. Hum. Did my paycheck bounce or something? I was actually feeling a little queasy at that point. Two days later (a month early.) this appears in the entryway of my house. Oh yeah, that. whew.
I'll be visiting Hawaii this Christmas. It's a good thing I'm a big fan of extremes. I will leave Seattle during a predicted string of below-zero winter days to bask in the muggy embrace of hawaii's ham-thick humidity.
