I fixed the fucking sound card problem. Since it always accompanies the installation of new drivers and/or the directx directsound versions
of same, I went through the device manager, wrote down all the drivers for the sounds card, removed the sound card from the device manager, and
went through the system directory deleting all the drivers by hand. Reinstalled. It works fine. Computers. fuh.

All day I've been feeling like I have slimy acid in my throat. Also, I've been experiencing a kind of low-level conscious
control. I'm walking around feeling a little like I'm sleeping, but I'm not sleepy at all. I have just been acting weird.
Even now it's strange to think that I'm typing this stuff. As far as I'm concerned, it's just appearing on the screen as I think it.
Is it delirium? Not hardly, from what I hear about delirium. I'm just what medical professionals call "woozy".

I definately notice sequential artifacts in social interaction. Such as when you are always addressed last, or
least preferentially. For instance, if you are saying something and then someone else starts talking, and whoever
it is you're analyzing just switches and starts listening to them. Or when people say "hi" to you last. I know I do it.
Normally, when approaching a group of people I just say "hi guys.". If I'm looking to dis someone, then I'm queuing
those guys up for greet-priority even as I walk. For extra contempt, you can add an uncomfortable pause before saying "hi" to
the dis victim. Or hold a short conversation with someone else before saying anything to your dissee.

I saw "starship troopers" today. Everyone in the theater considered themself very witty, so they shared their clever observations.
Every movie, people seem amazed that it isn't realistic. I mean sure, some kinda weird stuff happens, but it's set against these
eerily iconical perfect young adults. You could even say that it was remeniscent of the 80's (which were reminiscing about the 60's)
(I used both spellings I could think of). In any case, I sure wish people didn't think that movie theaters were places to
entertain others. I don't find people that funny anymore. It's the same thing over and over. Well, okay, SOME people are pretty darn funny.
But most folks are just mischevious, which I find overdone and irritating.
This is the goriest episode of 90210 I've ever seen.-- Kris, watching Starship Troopers
