--- So now I'm going to write a long description of the KMFDM show, my job interview, and the surrounding events. not. I am going to sum up. The job interview was very frustrating. The people wanted someone with a lot of experience in C++ development. I would rate myself 2 out of 5 in C++ ability. I could learn on the job, but this is a contracting company, they want to be able to send someone out to the client who already kicks ass at whatever they want. Personally, I think I could pick up whatever aspect of development they wanted me to quick enough that they wouldn't realize I was just picking it up. The recruiter is going to talk to the client anyway. I should find out what the verdict is next monday. If they aren't interested, I am going to end up a W2 consultant without a client. That's equivalent to being unemployed, except that they have your resume on hand in case they wanna sell you to someone.

I was in a bitchy mood after the interview. Since I had no one to talk to, I trudged through Bellevue thinking angry thoughts about the clean streets. Went home, dut da-dut da-duh, rode the bus out to meet Kris so we could go to KMFDM. Pig opened. That guy has been taking his Trent Reznor attitude lessons. They finished up with "Secret Skin", a song they recorded in cooperation with KMFDM. Since KMFDM wasn't on stage at that point, they had their parts running off of DAT (or something). More instruments running off DAT than being played live seems a little phony.

The KMFDM portion of the show was amazing. They played a couple of songs I had never heard before. AND. Nivek Ogre was with them. When he came out on stage, I thought maybe Pig had come out to play with them, but his hair was too short. I recognized the face, I thought. Then he started slapping himself across the face, jerking spastically. "Hey! It's OGRE!", Kris and I realized simultaneously.

Oh yeah, summing up: Sascha is a laid back kinda guy on stage. En Esch is very creepy looking in a summer dress. And Günter Shultz looked very 70's, smoking and playing guitar.

Is it just me or have I stopped making any sense at all?
--- That's enough of that kind of stuff. Let's see what I wrote on my scratch pad recently.

"CD's are very pretty in the right light, especially when you aren't wearing your glasses. One factor in the success of CDs as a media could be that they look very futuristic, and they're pretty. It isn't easy for new things to gain acceptance. If anything replaces CDs, it'll have to be even more compact, more durable, and look better. Like, a holographic cube with pictures floating inside it."

"You can't really blame anyone for 'ruining your life', because it takes so much help from you to do it."
(I think I was thinking of how I dealt with my breakup with Michelle when I wrote that. I realized how silly it was to blame any changes in my life on that incident.)

"You know why THIS guy is a perfect example of EVERYTHING? He's gotten himself ALL FUCKED UP over NOTHING."
(I forget who I was talking about. I still agree with that, though. Everyone does that.)

"I want you to STOP philosophizing and LISTEN to me, so I can tell you how STUPID you sound."
(I talk to myself a lot.)

"No one would like it if everyone addressed them as 'little bitch' all the time."
    (?)

I think that if I wrote in cursive, I wouldn't write so many words in all capital letters. Cursive capital letters are complicated, and aren't connected at the front. As it is, I think I write faster in print than I do in cursive. I would sign my name in print, if I thought that would be widely accepted. ("No, I need your SIGNATURE." "That IS my signature.")
